Here at Cacao, we do not breed our animals because we wish to make money off them. Nor do we breed them just to make more pedigreed animals available to the public. We breed our animals because we believe in a set standard for each breed, and we believe in the importance in maintaining that standard and the constant struggle to perfect the breed. We strive for health and vigor, amiable temperaments, and good type in our animals, in that order. Due to our exacting standards, many of the individuals born here are judged to be not fit to be breeding animals. This does not mean these cats are not excellent examples of their breed. Often, other breeders are amazed at the quality of the "pets" we sell, for our "pets" are often on par with others' "show quality" individuals. Rest assured that when you buy from Cacao, you are not just buying a cat, you are buying an individual that has years of dedication of breeding happy, healthy kittens behind it. We don't just use Grand Champion lines, we own and breed our own Grand Champions.
