What's New....

June 11, 2008

We'd like to congratulate Mandy and Jim Moesch on their new grand:

Derek is Cottontop's 5th Grand!!

May 5, 2008

End of season wrap up!

  • 2 Regional Winners! - GC, RW Cacao Muy Sexy (owned and shown by Sharon Rogers) and GC, RW Cacao Dawson's Creek
  • 10 New Grands!
Well, next season I think will be a little slower. The price of gas is definitely hurting us all! We are probably going to ease off the shows until the economy balances out.

April 18, 2008

Last weekend was a very exciting weekend - we have a new ONE show Grand Champion!

Magic was just old enough to get his winners ribbons the weekend before last, so for him to one-show grand at just barely 8 months is really thrilling! We hope this bodes will for his future in the next show season. Magic is our 10th and final grand for this show season.

Another very special grand occured in March - GP Brannaway Mason-of-Lou-Dennin. Mason is sired by GC Cacao Abercrombie, and is littermate to GC Brannaway Betursweetbippy of Cacao. These two are from the last litter born under the Brannaway name. Mason is owned and loved by Joan, who has put up with all his strange "luck" over the years and perservered to his GP!

January 31, 2008

We are very pleased to announce a new Grand Champion!

Dawson granded in his 3rd show champion show, making 180 points at that show alone! Dawson is our 9th grand of the show season!

December 21, 2007

Last weekend was the last show of the year for us, and it was a great way to end the year! We have our 8th grand of the season! (For the calender year, this would be our 11th grand!)

"Exxy" is a special grand - a sort-of first for us - the first Grand Champion bicolor that carries points! We have granded CPC bicolors before, but the only GC was a female that did not actually carry the point gene (GC Cacao Prudence), and the only point carrier bicolor was a Grand Premier (GP Cacao Pickwick). Exxy is a spectacular girl that we can't wait to include in our Himalayan program!

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - we hope you all have a safe time with friends and family and come back refreshed and ready to meet 2008!

November 25, 2007

Very pleased to announce another new grand (our 7th for this show season!):

Nostalgia finally got us our "N" Grand! We decided a few years ago we'd like a grand out of every letter in the alphabet - while we don't always name new cats from those missing letters.... sometimes we do! Now we just need a X and Q! :)

I'll be updating the Available pages soon..

Also, I have developed a new page for the American Shorthairs - please have a look! Cacao American Shorthairs.

November 11, 2007

She did it! Firestarter granded last weekend and has become part of only our 2nd litter to have 3 cats Grand from.

Next show isn't for a couple of weeks, but we are taking a cat there that lacks *1* point to finish. So we are hoping to announce a new grand again soon!

October 26th, 2007

I have two new grands to announce! Littermates!

"Manny" granded in September and Purcy granded last weekend! We are very excited about these two granding - and we are hoping their sister, CH Cacao Firestarter, is right behind them!

August 18, 2007

Well, several months into the show season and it's already starting off to be a really great season! In addition to granding Sixth Sense in May, we have 2 new Grand Champions to announce:

  • GC Cacao Shaina (Silver tabby AMSH female)
  • GC Cacao Muy Sexy (Black Persian Male - 2 show grand!)

We look forward to many great things for this show season, but I think the theme is going to be .. bicolors!

May 15, 2007

Wow, what happened to all this time that has flown by! It's been quite a busy few months, and I've been behind on writing in this updates section. I have been keep up to date with the rest of the website.. just a little slow here! First - to the new grands!!

The show season has once again come to a conclusion, and we are pleased to announce yet another Regional Winner for Cacao:

This last show season brought us many grands, a new DM, and a new Regional Winner! It's been a fun season and we hope to have a great one again this season!

January 14, 2007

It's another new year, and we celebrated this at the first show of the year with a new Grand, and a very special new DM.

With Angelina's grand, her mother, CH Cacao Gia is now a DM! (Distinguised Merit) Gia is our 5th DM. I guess I need to put together that DM page I've been thinking about...

November 12, 2006

This has been a very good fall! We are pleased to announce another new grand!

Derby is loving owned and shown by Linda of Fultonblue. Our congrats to Linda for her excellent presentation with Derby.

November 8, 2006

We are so pleased to announce two new grands!

These beautiful boys granded within minutes of each other, so they really share the honors. Parviz is the first grand for Anita - one we are sure that is just a beginning in her showing career. Our thanks and congrats to Anita for showing Parviz so beautifully.

October 22, 2006

I've gotten behind on updating again, but we've been having a great season! I'm pleased to announce 3 new Grands, all sired by GC HLE Back To The Basics of Cacao (these are his first grands).

I hope to update again soon with some more "Grand" news! with these three grands, we now have 99 Grands bred by Cacao - we can't wait to see who number 100 will be!

June 13th, 2006

A little late on this one, but we have our first grand of the new show season

Riddick is our first blue point Grand. He is also the first grand for his sire, GC Cacao Rachmaninoff. Riddick is now living in his new home with Conni Davis of Catsrealm.

May 1, 2006

Another show season is over, and it's time for a recap! :)

Four New Regional Winners (A new record for us, 4 different cats getting RWs in the same year)

Our congrats and thanks to Tom Clanton for his excellent showing of Tiger Paw - Tiger is Tom's first Regional Winner!

This year we also had another first - a cat of our breeding was shown and campaigned in TICA. Our huge congrats to Cathy and John and Dede for their win.

  • Supreme Alter Persian and Regional Winner for the South Central Region (and also a CFA Grand Premier) - GP Cacao Tabbie Teaser Delight - 6th Best Alter in the South Central Region.

February 25, 2006

I'm very pleased to announce another new grand for us:

"Fire" is a brown patched tabby and white. She is the first we have had born at our house of this color, and we think we are in love with this gorgeous color - then again, maybe it's just Fire! She's stealing hearts at every show she goes to. Fire is the first born and first grand for GC, RW Cacao Pachelbel Cannon. Fire also represent a new marker for our history - the first year we had 11 Grands!! Our previous "record" was 10. :)

February 5, 2006

Very exciting new update! 3 New Grands!

Musician and Yancy granded in late January, and Shannon granded yesterday! Very exciting last couple weeks for us. Shannon is named in honor of one of Anna Sadler's beloved granddaughters by that same name. Shannon's sister, Bridget, is named after Anna's other granddaughter.

December 26, 2005

I'm a little late on this one, but we had a new grand at the end of November:

Focal is the 2nd Grand for her father, GC Cacao Seabiscuit Seabiscuit, and the first grand for her mother - GC Cacao Pearly White (also Pearl's first litter.)

November 7, 2005

We have our first longhair grand that is *not* a Persian!

  • GP Caravanserai's Nokta of Cacao
"Nokta" is a black/white Turkish Van odd-eyed neuter that has come to us from Pat & John Chapman. We've always admired their Turkish Vans, and Nokta is no exception to the consistant quality of their program - Nokta granded in just 3 shows!

Also, a very big brag! Cacao Shannon, a black/white Persian, was highest scoring kitten last weekend at the Eyes Of Texas Cat show in Austin. This is the 2nd time Shannon has been highest scoring kitten in show!

Finally, stay tuned for a whole new website - coming soon!

October 15, 2005

We are very pleased to announce a new grand:

Hero is the first grand for Linda of Fultonblue! But we really doubt he'll be the only one for her!

I noticed I forgot to announce the granding of our first home-bred American Shorthair Grand Champion back in June - two in the first litter, Tiger, previously announced, and!:

  • GC Cacao Snow Leopard (female)
Snow Leopard's and Tiger Paw's little sisters will be going for their titles this fall/winter (Silver Streak and Silver Necklace). Tiger Paw has continued his show career with Tom Clanton, and they are having a lot of fun together.

September 3, 2005

Well, we find this pretty exciting! According to the latest Cat Tracks, an article by Douglas D'Abate has us as the #1 producer of Himalayan/CPC Grand Champions for the time period 2000-2005. Pretty cool! What's even neater is that he also ranked all catteries from 1966 to current in totally Grand Champions (pointed/cpc) - we ranked #4 - just 2 Grands behind the first three that are in a three way tie! Pretty awesome! It's really neat to see the numbers crunched like that. If you want to see, join the Atlantic Himalayan Society so you can receive Cat Tracks, too! It's a wonderful organization and a neat magazine.

July 20, 2005
This was a close one on points, so I had to wait for Herman to confirm, but the points came out right. We have a new grand - and a very special one, at that.

Bippy as born in the last litter of Brannaway bred Persians - she is very special to us - and her name was a very special phrase that Anna had always used... with emphasis.

May 29, 2005
We are very proud to announce a new Cacao grand!

  • Grand Premier Cacao Tabbie Teaser Delight

"Dede", as he is known, has been wonderfully shown and presented by Cathy Anderton and her husband John. He is their first CFA Grand. Our congratulations and sincere thanks go out to both of them for their hard work and dedication bringing Dede to his grand.

We are also a little late in announcing our achievements/awards for the last season. In addition to 9 Grands and 1 DM, we also would like to announce 3 new Regional Winners:

  • GC, RW Cacao Pachelbel Cannon
  • GC, RW Kittiary Fiesta! of Cacao
  • RW Cacao Troubadour of Beaubell

A more complete listing of awards can be found here. 2004-2005 was a great season! Our very special thanks/congrats to Liza Newton of Kittiary Cattery for entrusting us with Fiesta as well as for her first bred grand and first Regional Winner.

May 12, 2005
We are very pleased to announce two firsts! The first grand of the show season for us, and the first bred American Shorthair Grand!

  • Grand Premier Cacao Tiger Paw

Tiger is a 2-show, 8 month old grand! We are so excited! Born from our first litter of Americans, it's just too wonderful to have such a gorgeous pair in there.

April 25, 2005
So, the 2004-2005 show season has come to an end. We finished off the show season at a favorite show of ours, and had a good time. GC Cacao Pachelbel Cannon decided to show just one more time - his first show since Nov - and managed to take 8 finals, scoring the 2nd highest scoring cat in show. Really quite wonderful! Also, the first American Shorthairs born at Cacao garnered their first grand points - CH Cacao Snow Leopard and PR Cacao Tiger Paw. Finally, Y1Kat Nuts Not Included of Cacao, got his winner's ribbons. Yes, he's a Maine Coon! And a lovely one at that. These three and more will be our starting line up for the 2005-2006 show season. What does the future hold in store? New breeds, new colors, and certainly, lots of fun!

February 18, 2005
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay behind on updates! But such news I have! Since the last update, these cats have granded:

Whew! What a whirlwind it's been! 3 of those grands were sired by the same male, and they were his 13th, 14th, and 15th Grands, so we are so very, very, VERY pleased to announce:

GC Dalu Harbor Lights of Cacao, DM

Our Harbor is a DM! He achieved his Distinguished Merit at the age of 6 years, 8 months. His first Grand was in August of 2001, and his 15th was in February of 2005. Quite an accomplishment!

November 5, 2004
I've been a little late on the updates, however, we are very pleased to announce that October brought us two new Grand champions! We can't thank Jenny Brundage of Detente enough for "Calvin" - he's an amazing boy, and he will be a great foundation for our silver tabby American shorthair program. Watch for Calvin's babies to be out at the shows soon!

June 6, 2004
We are very pleased to announce our first Grand Champion of the new season!

Grand Champion Cacao Pachelbel Cannon

Pachy is the 12th grand for his sire, GC Dalu Harbor Lights of Cacao. We hope to have more happy news about Harbor sons in the next few months!

May 8, 2004
Another season has ended, and it has been another very successful year here at Cacao Cattery. We are very pleased to annouce that this year was a year of many firsts! Our first shorthair Grand Champion (GC Taz-N-Toonce's Miki Sakura), our first shorthair Regional Winner (GP, RW Pavlova's Chucky's Revenge of Cacao), and our first year to have a double-digit number of Grands! And they were ALL Grand Champions! This could not have been achieved without our friends; Anna Sadler of Brannaway, Ken & Elaine Crews of Fleurelaine, Belinda Ernest of Tanglebox, Judy & Hal Harper of Jude (our very successful protege's!!!), Kristi Ditzler of Taz-N-Toonce, and Vicky Edwards of Pavlova. The best part of showing is sharing success with our friends! Our new friends this year include Liza Newton of Kittiary, Jordana of Jordanalisa, Jackie Rose of Cuddlebugs, Marci, Kim of Campbellkatz, Angie of Leigvaani, Ted & Paulette of Cedar Rose... I could go on and on! :) Thank you to all of our friends for your kindness. :)

February 16, 2004
Another "Grand" weekend! We are pleased to announce:

Grand Champion Cacao Rachmaninoff of Tanglebox!

Our congrats and thanks to Belinda Ernest of Tanglebox cattery for showing and presenting Rachet so well!

February 8, 2004
We are pleased to announce another Grand:

Grand Champion Brannaway Modigliani

Modigliani is littermate to GC Brannaway Picasso! "Modi" is future sire here at Cacao, also proudly co-owned with Anna Sadler of Brannaway Cattery.

January 24, 2004
We are pleased to announce another Grand:

Grand Champion Brannaway Picasso

Picasso is a lovely black/white boy we are showing for our good friend, Anna Sadler of Brannaway Cattery. He actually granded 2 weekends ago, but I am a little late on the update.

I also updated the "Now Showing" page today, adding peds for Picasso and his sibs we are also showing.

December 28, 2003
It's been a very exciting weekend! We'd like to celebrate 3 new Cacao Grands! Both Tristan and Discreet are sired by GC Dalu Harbor Lights of Cacao, bringing his grand count to 11!
August 24, 2003
Cacao would like to celebrate our 75th Grand, GC Cacao Camelia of Fleurelaine!!! Many congrats and thanks to Elaine and Ken Crews for their achievement with "Cammie."
August 8, 2003
Another weekend, 2 more Grands! It was a fantastic weekend at the Silver Rebels show in College Station, TX. We are proud to announce the latest Cacao Grand Champions: 3 Grands in 2 weeks has us floating on cloud nine, so we think we are going to take the rest of the month off from shows and enjoy their winnings.
July 27, 2003
We are most pleased to announce our newest Grand Champion, GC Cacao Ruffles, a seal point female. Ruffles is the first Grand for both her parents, and we are sincerely grateful to Sue Shellaberger of Montesol Cattery for loaning us Montsesol Pijazz, father of Ruffles, and, we hope, many more Grands to come!
June 15, 2003
The show season is well over, and we have certainly have an exciting season. To recap (as well as a little bragging):

3 New Regional Winners

  • GC, RW Cacao Discord - 11th Best Cat, Gulf Shore Region
  • CH, RW Cacao The Dream Within - 15th Best Kitten, Gulf Shore Region
  • CH, RW Cacao Daydream of Brannaway - 20th Best Kitten, Gulf Shore Region

9 New Grands

  • GC, RW Cacao Discord
  • GC Cacao Prudence
  • GC Cacao Veiled Vintage
  • GP Cacao Magitek
  • GP Cacao Tuneless
  • GP Cacao Off-Key
  • GC HLE Back To The Basics of Cacao
  • GC Brannaway Starta Commotion of Cacao
  • GP Pavlova Chucky's Revenge of Cacao

1 New DM

  • GC Dalu Esmeralda of Cacao, DM

A very good season, indeed! Maybe some rest is in order! For those who know us, resting is not something we do very much of! Stay tuned!

April 20, 2003
Another weekend down, just one more weekend until this season is over. This last weekend, we showed our 9th cat this season to the title of Grand, as GC Cacao Prudence completed her Grand Championship at the show! Prudence is the 6th Grand for her mother, GC Dalu Esmeralda of Cacao, DM, and the 8th Grand for her father, GC Dalu Harbor Lights of Cacao. Also, at her first kitten show, Cacao Ruffles, a seal point female, made 5 out of 6 finals. Another new non-Persian addition, Taz-N-Toonce's Miki Sakura, a silver classic tabby American Shorthair, also made 5 out of 5 finals this weekend.

We'd also like to congratulate Judy and Hal Harper of Jude Cattery, who showed CH Cacao Tristan beautifully at his first champion show, gaining approximately 54 Grand points for him.

April 5, 2003
A first for Cacao, a non-Persian Grand! This weekend at the one-day Muskogee Cat Club show, Pavlova's Chucky's Revenge of Cacao, a Russian Blue neuter, completed his requirements for Grand Premiership. It seems a little odd to claim him as a Grand for us, but never-the-less, he is our 8th Cat to Grand this season. We can't thank Vicky Edwards of Pavlova enough for entrusting us (well, Carissa), with this gorgeous Russian Blue boy. Go CHUCKY!!
March 30, 2003
We are pleased to announce a new grand! GC Cacao Veiled Vintage completed the requirements for Grand Championship this past weekend at the Tonkinese Sweetharts show! Quite an accomplishment for the little girl who was a "pet" until she was 4 months old! Vintage is the 1st Grand for her mother, GC RW Cacao Fifth Element (also, from her first litter), and the 2nd Grand for her father, GC Cacao Abercrombie. She is the 7th Grand for us this season (WOW!) and the 71st Grand under the Cacao prefix.
February 12, 2003
It's been a busy past couple months! We've been having great fun at the shows, even if our girls aren't exactly cooperating! Coming in season seems to be the trend, and we've set some of their show carreers on the back burners, taking in consideration their health! But we are pleased to say that CPC litters are on the rise here, and even a Himmy or two is showing up! Stay tuned!
October 28, 2002
And, wow, here it is again. Another grand announcement! We are pleased to announce GC HLE Back To The Basics of Cacao, a seal point male, completed his requirements for Grand Champion this last weekend!
August 10, 2002
Another Grand announcement! GC Brannaway Starta Commotion of Cacao completed her requirements at a very tough show! She is the 5th cat we have Granded this season. She also was a 5th grand for her mother, Wishstar Glory, DM, so congrats are definately in order for Linda Mercer! Starta now has both of her parents as DMs!

July 8, 2002
This season is off to a terrific start! This last weekend, we achieved the following:

We are very excited about all these accomplishments, and our very sincere congratulations to Gene and Dale Wright for granding Punono! Stay tuned!

June 16, 2002
We are very pleased to announce our 3rd grand for this season,GC Cacao Discord. Discord granded with style at the one day show in Wichita Falls, TX, receiving over 200 grand points from just this show. He is the 6th Grand for GC Dalu Harbor Lights of Cacao and the 4th grand for GC Dalu Esmeralda of Cacao.

Discord is also the brother to GP Cacao Off-Key, and a third boy from the litter, PR Cacao Tuneless, picked up 35 points at the show.

June 3, 2002
We are proud to announce two new grands, GP Cacao Magitek and GP Cacao Off-Key. These two boys are half-brothers, both sired by GC Dalu Harbor Lights. They are his 4th and 5th grands.

Today is also GC Dalu Harbor Lights 4th birthday!

May 13, 2002
Just like that, two weekends of the new show season already completed! We have had two nice shows, picking up points on the three boys are showing, Discord, his brother, Off-Key, and their half-brother, Magitek. Magitek did especially well his first weekend as a premier at the National Birman show, taking a BEST CAT over all the fabulous grands that were there! That was a very nice surprise.

I have updated the "Available" section, splitting it now to a "pet" page and a breeder/show page. I will be continuing to update and flesh out those two pages during the next few weeks. (It's very time consuming to take the pictures, convert or scan them, then get them up on the website.) There are two new cats in the breeder/show area.

May 3, 2002
Well, I wrote that last update a bit prematurely. We went to Colorado Springs the last weekend of the season with 1 Champion and 4 opens, and came back with 1 Grand Champion, 2 Champions, and 2 Premiers. It was fun! So, our fifth and final Grand for the 2001-2002 show season is GC Cacao Jessica. So, we are quite very pleased. Jessica is Carissa's special baby, so this was a very special weekend.

The new show season is upon us, and with it, more fun to come! We hope this will be a very exciting year. Stay tuned!

April 25, 2002
Coming up on the last weekend of the show season. It's been quite a year! Cacao Discord has concluded his kitten career, as of last week. While he just BARELY missed a Regional award (he ended up 23rd), we are very proud of how well he has done. But his half-sister did secure her win, maintaining a high standing even though she was shown at the VERY beginning of the season for only 3 months! GC, RW Cacao Fifth Element was 7th Best Kitten, Gulf Shore Region. YEAH FOR "ELLY"!!!!! And congratulations also to GC, RW Brannaway Aurora, half-sister to Elly and Discord, for holding her position as 9th Best Kitten, Gulf Shore Region.

We achieved 4 grands this season, GC Cacao Moonshine, GC Cacao Caffeine, GC, RW Cacao Fifth Element, and, the latest, GP Cacao Cinnabar. Moonshine and Caffeine are littermates, and Cinnabar is the repeat breeding of Fifth Element.

We have had an excellent season, and we hope we can do as well next season.

March 20, 2002
Well, it's been a while since I've typed in the updates section, even though I have been updating the page. Discord has been enjoying moderate success at his shows. We are really quite pleased with him. We also brought out Cacao Cinnabar, a red premier, who is the repeat of GC Cacao Fifth Element, a blue female who is probably going to be a regional winner for kittens in the Gulf Shore Region this season. Cinnabar did very well at his first premier show, gaining 47 points toward his Grand Premier title. We hope he finishes the last 28 at the next show. Also, we have a new baby - Brannaway Starta Commotion of Cacao - a brown mackeral tabby and white female who is a marvelous baby. We expect to be showing her as an adult next season. It's a first for us, as we have never show a tabby before. We think we might like them, however. ;) The available page has been updated, including new pictures. I have also added a request form to the available page.

Congratulations are also in order for GC Brannaway Aurora, a 2-show grand and also a likely regional kitten winner.

January 2, 2002
Isn't it funny how the kitten you expect the least of always does the best? Last weekend, we have 4 kittens entered, and only one made finals. Of course, that was the one without the registration number. Of course, he only didn't have a registration number because I forgot to put his color down on the registration slip. OOOPS. But our little Discord, a black CPC male, just barely 4 months old, held his own against the competition and made 2 finals. We were quite pleased! So, maybe at the next show, he'll have a registration number!

December 8, 2001
We are pleased to announce that Anna Sadler with her Brannaway Aurora have been enjoying tremendous success! Aurora was BEST BI-COLOR KITTEN at the CFA International this year. Aurora was also 4th Best Longhair Kitten at the International. Our congrats go to both Anna and "Rory."

I have added five kittens that are all breeder or show quality to the "Available" page. Some are pure persians, some are CPC's. They are not an any particular order. Photos are available upon request, and will be eventually put up on the page when I get time!

Novemeber 11, 2001
We are taking a short break from showing while we watch babies grow up! What a relief! Going to shows nearly every weekend does get tiring! But... keep your eyes out for a stunning black/white van female kitten being shown by Anna Sadler of Brannaway Persians. "Aurora" is fathered by GC Dalu Harbor Lights, who is the same father of GC Cacao Fifth Element.

September 9, 2001
I added two retired females to the "Retired" section. They actually belong to a close friend of ours, Anna Sadler of Brannaway Persians, but she doesn't know how to do webpages (her son did a one shot on hers years ago), so I posted the pictures up for her. They are really lovely girls!

August 13, 2001
Yeah! A new grand! GC Cacao Fifth Element completed her requirements for grand champion in her first champion show this last weekend at Mo-Kan Cat Club. A ONE SHOW GRAND! (272 grand pts) It's been a while since we had one of those, so we are quite excited. Elly is the 3rd Grand this show season for Cacao (that is, since May).

July 16, 2001
We are pleased to present our newest Grand, GC Cacao Caffeine, a CPC tortie female, littermate to GC Cacao Moonshine, and the 62nd Grand under the Cacao prefix. Caffeine is also the 5th Grand for GC Paquita's Sun Rise of Cacao since last August.

June 11, 2001
I've added some new things to the page - including show reports on the kittens, Cacao Fifth Element (Elly), and Cacao Runny Babbit. As of the most recent e-points, we are pleased to see that Elly is 2nd in the Gulf Shore Region, and 7th in the National standings for kittens. While it is still very early in the season, we hope that Elly will continue with her successes. She has been highest scoring kitten at the past two shows. Stay tuned for more show reports!

May 13, 2001
It's a new season! We have started off the new season quite nicely with a new grand, GC Cacao Moonshine. There are new pictures up in the "Now Showing" area.

March 20, 2001
I've finally got kitten pictures up of CH Cacao Moonshine, another Grand hopeful for this season. He's from a late-developing line, however, so he may be held back until he is mature. Look for more pictures of him and his sister, Cacao Caffeine, in a few weeks.

Also.. I got a lot of new pedigrees up, including GC Paquita's Sun Rise of Cacao, a beautiful red male that has sired 3 grands just this year. There are also pedigrees now for several of the non-bred Grands that we own. I'll be working on more in the next few weeks.

February 18, 2001
Whew!!! What a show season! And we aren't done yet! Cacao is pleased to annouce our 5th Grand of the show season, GC Cacao Merry Go Round. I'll probably be taking down most of those pictures in about 2 months after everyone has had a chance to see them. We'll be taking break until the middle of March, when Moonshine and Caffeine turn 8 months, and perhaps take some time off after they achieve their Championships to give us some time to recover from the shows and maybe let them grow a little. I do have some pictures of Moonshine - I'll try to get them scanned in soon.

December 31, 2000
I'm very excited to announce our 4th Grand this year, GC Dalu Harbor Lights. He granded this weekend at Fort Worth. His maiden Champion show was the first weekend of this month, so we are very happy with his success. His is the littermate to GC Dalu Ain't Miss Behavin. I'll have pictures of him up as soon as they get them - we didn't think he would grand before they came in!

Also, I've been changing the look of the page some, standardizing pages so they have a nice Victorian look, like my mother likes.

November 23, 2000
Happy Thanksgiving! A few days ago, I finally got around to creating 3 gen pedigrees for all the Cacao grands in the Hall of Grands. (Thanks to Gene Wright for the pedigree format file.) Well, almost all. I created individual pages for each cat, so that you can see a pic of the cat and their 3 gen ped (if they had a picture.. quite a few don't.) If you happen to have pedigrees on some of those cats that I don't have the peds on, or perhaps pictures, please contact me! Enjoy those pedigrees, some of them are over 20 years old!

November 5, 2000
What an incredible past few months it has been. I am pleased to our 3rd grand in 3 months, GC Cacao Persephone, a cream and white Persian. She is the 59th grand under the Cacao prefix. She needed 80 points going into this show (Rosenberg, TX) and received 130 in one day!!! Thank you Barbara St. Georges, Shelia Mizzi, and Leslie Faltisek for using Persy in their finals!

September 26, 2000
We are happy to announce that Cacao Fitch, littermate to Abercrombie, granded this last weekend! Quite exciting. Also, two weekends ago, GC Cacao Abercrombie went highest scoring cat in show! A lot of happy-happy joy-joy going on around here. Fitch will be offered for sale; please see the now showing and available pages for price and pictures of the latest (58th) Grand Champion under the Cacao prefix.

August 5, 2000
We had a very exiting weekend! Cacao Abercrombie granded! Also, his brother Fitch picked up nearly 50 grand points, and Merry-Go-Round (half-sister) also picked up around 40 points. A very good weekend indeed.

I'm not really sure why it is so hard for me to update this page! Anyway. We are now at a new location, texascats.com, please update your links. I have new cats up on the "Now Showing" section - finally updated that! Well, finally got pictures taken so I could update. :) More to come later.. I hope.

Well. I am woefully behind in updates. Such is the life of a college student. I apologize for the slacking. :) I have updated the available page, as both of the the kitties featured have been sold. However, we have serveral coming up that will be available, just as soon as we decide which to keep and which to sell! A digital camera was also acquired over the holidays, and while it doesn't have the best resoloution, it's do-able, so I hope to get pictures up of the available kitties, if it is in low resolution. When I get the time! I need to update the now showing page, too, but I'm waiting on good photos for that.

No sooner do I put up the page than I change servers! I had quite a busy night moving all the stuff over to the new server and removing all the geocities tags... AH! Well, now it's all better and hopefully, I'll get the ball rolling better now. I have to actually learn how to use FrontPage and do all my webpage editing offline now - something new for me. I am pretty much spoiled by my online editor on geocites. Well. Guess that's all for now.

More tweeking. More on the retired section. Going to do more later tonight, maybe with the Hall of Grands and Awards section. Need to scan so pictures.

Well, I tweeked the Available page, and the FAQ and Links and Retired are all worth have a look at now. A few other changes. Backgrounds are probably going to be spontaneously changing the next couple weeks until I'm happy with them. Geocites/Yahoo has been doing funny things when I follow the links from the main page (I try to check everything everyday to make it's all working... and maybe a little to gloat). And some people are having trouble getting here at all. And I know there's a part on the main page that's not working. It's the stupid counter. The server went down on it. I'll fix it. I can't fix the geocities problem. Sorry. I'm kinda stuck at this point until Janet gets around to writing down the History for me. Maybe I start on the Awards section. Been kinda putting that one off, I have no idea how to organize it. There's just too much information to put there! AH! (Webmistress Carissa quietly seethes at pulls at her hair) More coffee, less sleep... or is it the other way around?

Way behind schedule, I decide to actually get in gear and working on this page. I haven't really done anything yet today - the main page was actually developed months ago - but I plan on getting a functioning hall of grands, now showing, some of the FAQ, for sale.... and well, just working HTML's on all the links on the main page. I'll get back to ya on what I actually get done...LaterWell, done for today. Hall of Grands, Now Showing, and Kittens Available are up, and a little on the Retired section. I'm tired.
