I made this page because it takes too much time to look up all the products all the time that I recommend. It's not a complete list of everything I use or bring to shows. It's just the stuff I tend to get asked about and rather than having to look up the links all the time, I am placing them here. I will probably edit/add/remove things as time goes by. These are just my recommendations, NOT endorsements necessarily. Caveat Emptor.

Show Products
Show Cages: I love Noz2Noz Soft Crate, but unfortunately that brand is no longer available. For a show cage, a 30x24x24 is ideal, but hard to find. Here is one that looks ok (it's 30x21x21) https://a.co/d/05m4LifV For in the hotel room, I recommend a larger size if you have room to bring it - more like 36x30x30 - and you can put a small thin board between cages and stack them! Grooming bag: I like a bag with LOTS of pockets. This is the main bag that you put ALL the things you need. https://a.co/d/01G8Ki3X Grooming bag, smaller (just for combs, brushes, small powder containers): https://a.co/d/0713gwVC or https://sturdiproducts.com/products/hanging-toiletry-organizer?variant=48568308334835 A wagon: They come big, they come small, double decker... find what works for you. Make sure it's folding. Get a luggage tag on it so you know which is yours (trust me on this). No link for this, just something to think about to make your life easier. Battery Powered Hair Dryer: Expensive, totally worth it. Below Zero Ice Packs: Get the largest size. They fit perfectly in this cooler. Wrap them in something absorbent so the cat doesn't get wet from condensation. |
Grooming Products
To me, the quality on these can vary so widely, you have to go with the best quality - these are my favorites. I have a set for home and show. Slicker Brush: https://a.co/d/012eurtI Pin Brush: https://a.co/d/00pe8TrK Comb: https://a.co/d/00pe8TrK Finger-tip misting spray bottle: https://a.co/d/0cLSXOhI These are nice because you don't have to bring your big sprays with you. Saves space. They sometimes have to be replaced. You can also get them from a store in the travel size area. Viva Paper Towels - my favorite for drying/wiping eyes at the show. Travel Sized Make-Up brushes: https://a.co/d/04UymBpm For those little touch ups. You don't need a lot. Find what brand makes you happy. Corn Starch: https://a.co/d/074ozRUz Litterally my main grooming powder. No fragrance, absorbs both oils and water/urine/tears... can't go wrong with it. I travel with a big container, but have some in smaller containers as well. Flying Pig High Velocity Dryer: I don't use the heat settings when I use it because I think it gets too hot, but I use it all the time! Conair Infiniti Pro Hair Dryer - My main dryer. Cheaper from Walmart. |

Shampoos/Conditioners
Dawn Platinum: I am not posting a link - it's in the store. DO NOT USE DAWN POWERWASH spray on a cat. It will burn/dry out their skin. F&T From Les Pooches - I buy this two gallons at a time. I recommend diluting it at least 1:1 a day prior or more to use. I use a condiment squeeze bottle to dispense. #1 All Systems Super Cleaning & Conditioning Pet Shampoo - I like this one before I condition the coat and after I finish with degreasers. Pantene conditioner: I have used pantene repair & protect for years - but the problem with this product line is they change it up every few years. It gets annoying. Avoid the stuff with the "melting pearls" because that will actually stain the coat. Pantene Conditioning Detangler Spray: I use this after I towel dry and again at the shows diluted in water. I do not recommend any enzymatic stain removing shampoos - I believe they damage the hair follicle and lead to worse staining in the long run, not to mention hair breakage and a "glowing" grey/white cat. Also, no "whitening" shampoos - again, they don't fix the problem, and can make the cat's coat look very unnatural. Condition, condition, condition. Every bath. Even the show baths. I also don't recommend vinegar rinses. It opens the hair shaft to damage. This isn't all that I use, just all that I am going to share. :) |
Misc
Hand Whisk broom & pan: https://a.co/d/0dBSMJMn Because we all make a mess sometimes. Always clean up after yourself or your cat. Hand sanitizer spray: https://a.co/d/026aPDhE Because sometimes, you need it. I recommend only fragrance free so you don't upset your cat. |
