Cacao Cattery - Awarding winning, Internationally Recognized

 The honors listed below are evidence and reassurance to anyone looking to add a Cacao cat to their household that the cat or kitten has not only been given the best care possible, but that it is a quality animal & a good representative of it's breed that anyone would be proud to own. 

CFA Cattery of Distinction, Tier VIII

The Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) recognizes the dedication, time, & effort, and it takes to produce a grand champion.  They have developed an awards program for cattery breeding programs that have produced certain number of grand champions called Cattery of Distinction  Each level is called a "Tier" and begins at Tier I being awarded for breeders of 10 grand champions.  Cacao is proud to be one of three distinguished breeders who have achieved the status of Cattery of Distinction Tier VIII with over 250 CFA Grand Champion/Grand Premiers produced during our over 50 years of existence.   Learn more about the CFA Cattery of Distinction (Click here).

CFA Cattery of Excellence

The Cat Fanciers Association (CFA) offers a program of certification to catteries who have been shown to meet a standard of care for their cats.  This is called the Cattery of Excellence.   Each year a licensed veterinarian visits us & scores us according to a set of standards.  We are proud to say we are a CFA Cattery of Excellence; less than 40 catteries around the US hold this title!

State Licensed and Inspected

 While not a CFA distinction, our cattery is registered, licensed, and regularly inspected by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.  TDLR has a distinct set of guidelines for housing, care, and records which must be met for licensure.  We are proud to say we are licensed and have passed each of our inspections with flying colors.
